Hands-On, Minds-On Themes Children Love

Learning Beyond the Bell turns afterschool into a series of hands-on explorations integrated with project-based learning that encourages collaboration, creativity and critical thinking. It’s where children learn by doing, allowing students to act as everything from “mad scientists” to game designers through various STEAM challenges and creative arts. By blending identity-building with environmental stewardship and empathy, the program equips young learners with the essential communication and leadership skills needed to make a meaningful real-world impact.

Why Choose Learning Beyond the Bell?

What happens when after-school programs switch to Learning Beyond the Bell? Kids stop asking “When can I leave?” and start begging parents, “Can you come back later?” Don’t just take our word for it, hear directly from the directors and teachers who’ve experienced turning an after-school headache into an enrollment magnet.

  • Ease of Use & Clear ROI for School – The program is described as “easy to follow and implement.” Curriculum flows logically, building on concepts week-to-week. Time savings for teachers, while parents observing behavioral improvements in their children.
  • High Student Engagement – Kids are excited to participate and ask what the next activity will be. They are so engaged they don’t see the activities as “work.” Kids asking parents to pick them up later (not earlier!)
  • Effective Timing – The activities take 15-25 minutes, fitting well into the afterschool schedule. Activities readily available and easy to follow, eliminating planning burden and creating from scratch.
